Why This Day Is Special

History Behind the Day
International Childhood Cancer Day was first observed in 2002 by Childhood Cancer International (CCI), a global network of 183 parent support groups and childhood cancer associations in 93 countries. It aims to generate public understanding and greater appreciation of the issues surrounding childhood cancer. The "Tree of Life" is often used as a symbol for this day, representing growth, strength, and hope.
