International Day for Mine Awareness is observed today to raise awareness about the dangers of landmines and explosive remnants of war, and to emphasize the importance of mine action in protecting lives and communities. On this significant day, SSRLTL shares awareness about safety, humanitarian efforts, and the need for global cooperation to prevent injuries and loss of life caused by landmines. Through its educational initiatives, SSRLTL emphasizes values such as compassion, responsibility, peace, and respect for human life, encouraging learners to understand the long-term impact of conflict on communities.

Today, SSRLTL teachers and faculty guide students in learning about the importance of mine awareness, safety education, and humanitarian action. World Blood Donor Day, celebrated on June 14 , honors the birth of Dr. Karl Landsteiner , who discovered the blood groups A, B, AB, and O. This day raises awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and thanks voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts .
