World Day Against Child Labour, observed on June 12, aims to raise awareness about the global issue of child labor and promote efforts to eliminate it. This day emphasizes the importance of education and the protection of children's rights.

History Behind the Day

The International Labour Organization (ILO) launched this day in 2002 to highlight the plight of child laborers and promote action to eliminate child labor worldwide. The theme for 2024 is "Let’s act on our commitments: End Child Labour!"
