World Rainforest Day was established in 2017 by the Rainforest Partnership, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of rainforests. The day highlights the critical role rainforests play in sustaining life on Earth

This day raises awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and thanks voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts .
